Pharrell Williams celebrated his 41st birthday at Bikini Bottom at Cipriani Wall Street with a SpongeBob SquarePants themed party.
Guests included Alicia Keys and her husband Swizz Beatz, who partied with the Happy star on Friday night in NYC.
Guests tucked into a giant birthday cake featuring SpongeBob, while partying with full size characters Patrick Star from the Nicktoons show and were given a goody bag of treats which included The Spongebob Squarepants Experience: A Deep Dive Into the World of Bikini Bottom coffee table book.
Pharrell is a self confessed fan, launching a clothing range dedicated to the Nickelodeon star, as part of his Autumn/Winter2013 ICECREAM collection with his label, Billionaire Boys Club.
SpongeBob is having a fashion moment right now, the Happy star wore a vibrant yellow SquarePants onesie at the Kids’ Choice Awards and recently Rita Ora recently nodded to the ‘one that lives in a pineapple under the sea’.
In an interview on the ICECREAM range, Pharrell said “If I could be friends with Patrick Star, that would be the best thing ever”.
