Austin Mahone is releasing a debut album.

The teen singer has won many fans with his catchy track Say Somethin and was also picked as one of the opening acts for Taylor Swift's Red Tour. Austin turns 18 today and has announced details of his first record to mark the occasion, along with a tour.

"This is for my Mahomies. Thank you for supporting me and sticking with me all this time," he told his fans in a statement. "I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate my birthday than to be able to announce new music and a huge tour for all you guys!"

His first record will be called The Secret and is due for release on May 27. The supporting tour will kick off on July 25, in his hometown San Antonio, Texas. He will also be joined by The Vamps and Fifth Harmony for the shows.

Austin has been making waves on the music scene for some time now, with hits such as 11:11 and What About Love. He also bagged the Artist to Watch prize at the MTV Video Music Awards last year.

Justin Bieber, 20, has become one of Austin's close pals. The two boys headed to Nobu in Miami yesterday to celebrate the younger star's birthday. They also had a run-in while working hard at a studio recently.

"Austin and Justin have met before and they really respect each other's music," an insider told Us Weekly.

Another source continued: "Justin happened to be in the same studio with Birdman... Austin was in the studio next door recording a song that Justin wrote."

Austin confirmed the news of his album on Twitter.

"ITS TRUE!!!! MY DEBUT RELEASE #TheSecret COMES OUT on MAY 27th!!! (sic)" he wrote.
