Chris Brown’s attorney supposedly wants the courts to cancel his client’s Con Air flight.
The Don’t Wake Me Up singer is currently residing in the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles after being kicked out of a rehabilitation centre last month.
TMZ reported the judge who put him behind bars for violating his probation in March has ordered Chris to fly via Con Air to Washington D.C. for a forthcoming court appearance in connection with a separate assault case.
And the outlet now reports the star’s lawyer Mark Geragos visited court Tuesday arguing his client should have permission to travel without police escorts. Should Chris fly to the East Coast with Con Air, he will be shackled and chained the entire six-hour flight.
Geragos also allegedly requested Chris be released ahead of his April 17 court date in D.C., as the musician will need extra time to confer with his lawyer before proceedings begin there. There is no word as to whether or not Chris’ probation judge has made a final ruling on the Con Air matter.
Despite his legal woes, the Look At Me Now singer seems committed to maintaining high spirits.
Chris called his rumoured ex-girlfriend Karreuche Tran from jail on Monday, and she shared his loving message with fans on her Instagram account.
“Thank y'all for the support. Thank you for everything. You know, the Loyal video came out so I hope y'all enjoy that,” he said to fans, before professing his affections for the model.
“And most importantly, K...Karrueche, I love you. So thank you.”
