Nikki Reed has separated from her husband.
The 25-year-old actress, best known for her role as vampire Rosalie Hale in the Twilight franchise, tied the knot with singer-songwriter Paul McDonald in October 2011. They had met on the red carpet at the premiere of Red Riding Hood in March of that year.
Over the years they had recorded several songs and are set to release a record together.
However, it appears the couple have drifted apart due to their hectic work schedules.
"After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage. They have been living separately for the past six months due to work obligations," a rep of the couple told People.
"They will continue to share their love of music, and are still working on their debut album, I'm Not Falling, releasing in 2014. They remain best friends and look forward to their continued journey together."
Nikki previously spoke about how she tried to balance her career and marriage, insisting that both parties worked hard on their relationship while on a job.
"It's important to communicate and stay on the same page," she explained to People last October. "With what we do for a living, it's important we make each other know they come first."
