Gwyneth Paltrow is grateful for the support she and Chris Martin have received since announcing their split on Tuesday.

The actress and Coldplay frontman Chris posted a statement on her Goop website, confirming they were ending their marriage of ten years.

In a new post on Friday, Gwyneth shared a recipe for chicken soup, and added a P.S. at the end expressing thanks for well-wishes from fans.

“CM and I in deep gratitude for the support of so many,” she wrote, adding a little heart emoticon at the end of the sentence.

The couple have made it clear their breakup is not acrimonious and they will continue to raise their children Apple, nine, and Moses, seven, together.

Chris’ family has spoken out, insisting everyone is, and always will be, good friends.

“If you are married you know you have good days and bad days,” Chris’ father Anthony Martin told UK newspaper The Mirror. “We all have our ups and downs. It is sad because there are our two grandchildren. But it is all very amicable between them.”

Anthony even made a joke about how Gwyneth and Chris titled their breakup statement “Conscious Uncoupling”, a phrase that has caused general confusion.

“It’s all in the statement, the expression that was used. Conscious…,” he said. “I am very proud of what they have achieved in their lives.”

Chris’ brother Alex reiterated these sentiments, saying Gwyneth will always be considered one of their family.
“I love them both dearly, we all get on and there is no animosity,” he insisted.
