Kim Kardashian’s close pal has blasted Sarah Michelle Gellar for her Vogue diss.

Kim appears on the cover of the American high-fashion magazine’s April 2014 edition in a wedding dress, and her fiancé Kanye West stands behind her with his arms wrapped around her waist.

And following its release Friday, Sarah Michelle Gellar took to Twitter share her disappointment over editor Anna Wintour’s cover selection.

“Well……I guess I'm canceling my Vogue subscription. Who is with me???" she wrote.

Kim’s best friend Jonathan Cheban stepped up in her defence shortly after, writing Sarah a retaliatory message.

“Do u matter?" he mused while retweeting what the former Buffy the Vampire Slayer star said.

It was rumoured Kanye had been pleading with his friend Anna to place his Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality star fiancee on the cover of Vogue for several months.

Speculation was rife the editor-and-chief resisted the Yeezus musician’s request, but in a statement 64-year-old Anna claimed she didn’t hesitate to feature the couple.

"As for the cover, my opinion is that it is both charming and touching, and it was, I should add, entirely our idea to do it; you may have read that Kanye begged me to put his fiancee on Vogue's cover. He did nothing of the sort," she wrote. "The gossip might make better reading, but the simple fact of the matter is that it isn't true."

She went on to explain why the couple earned their spot on the publication’s cover.

"Part of the pleasure of editing Vogue, one that lies in a long tradition of this magazine, is being able to feature those who define the culture at any given moment, who stir things up, whose presence in the world shapes the way it looks and influences the way we see it," Anna said.
