Kate Hudson and Matt Bellamy have reportedly been having therapy.
The couple have been battling rumours about their four-year romance for around a month, with their representative insisting speculation they are in trouble is unfounded.
It's now been suggested they have sought professional help to ensure they go the distance.
'They've been going to couples counselling to try to make it work,' an insider told Life & Style.
The pair got together in 2010 and were engaged a year later, with their two-year-old son Bingham arriving in 2011.
Kate sparked questions when she didn't wear her engagement ring to a post-Oscars party earlier this month. It's been suggested the couple's hectic work schedules are proving problematic. Matt fronts rock band Muse, while Kate has started designing as well as acting.
'She can't handle how much he travels and is away from the family," the source claimed. "They love each other but know they've grown apart.'
However, it's thought both are determined to make a go of things. Earlier this month Matt jetted in to California to spend time with his fiancée, which is thought to have brought them closer together.
"They went on dates, and they're talking every day to work through things,' a source told Us Weekly. "They're committed to being great parents and want to stay together for Bing."
Kate has always been open about her views on marriage. She is no rush to walk down the aisle having previously been wed to The Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson, who she divorced in 2007.
She was raised by her mother Goldie Hawn and her long-term partner Kurt Russell, who have never tied the knot.
"No, I'm planning nothing right now. I'm so busy, we've been so busy, and it's been great. I come from an unconventional family... My parents aren't married," she explained in January.
