Justin Bieber's legal team is reportedly negotiating a plea bargain in connection to his egging case.
The 20-year-old singer is being investigated over claims he pelted his neighbour's home with eggs, causing $20,000 of damage to the Calabasas, California, property.
Justin could face a felony vandalism charge over the incident, although it's been suggested it is unlikely the case will go to trial.
According to TMZ, Justin's attorney Howard Weitzman will soon meet with the Los Angeles County District Attorney to discuss terms. Among those is the suggestion that Justin should pay for the alleged damage caused by the food and enter a no contest plea to a misdemeanour vandalism charge.
This would mean the Canadian heartthrob would be saved a prison sentence and would likely be placed on informal probation. It would also see the case closed quickly.
However, the website claims there is a degree of difference between the views of the DA and County Sheriff's Department. It's alleged that the Sheriff's Department is adamant Justin should face a felony charge, as officers believe he meant to cause a significant amount of damage to his neighbour's home. However, the DA argues the case is not that serious.
At the moment no meeting has taken place, but it's thought the DA and lawyer will get together within the next few days.
This is just one of the legal cases Justin is involved in at the moment. He is also facing charges of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a licence stemming from his January arrest in Miami. Footage of him struggling to walk in a straight line while at the jailhouse has been released, with the star apparently claiming he was only wobbling due to a foot injury.
Earlier this month he sat for a deposition in relation to claims he ordered his bodyguard to assault a photographer.
