Whitney Houston's death has supposedly spawned a disturbing new lawsuit.

The I Will Always Love You singer perished in her room at The Beverly Hilton hotel in 2012.

And according to TMZ, an officer investigating at the scene of her demise has reportedly sued the city of Beverly Hills after accusing his peers of grave misconduct.

'Sgt. Brian Weir filed the lawsuit, claiming Sgt. Terry Nutall knelt beside Houston -- mere hours after her death -- and removed the sheet covering her body, saying, 'Damn, she's still looking good, huh?' the website writes.

Apparently Sgt. Weir was quickly removed from his post at the coveted SWAT and K-9 units as 'punishment' for submitting a complaint. It is also claimed he was denied benefits or promotions in addition to losing his previous jobs.

The outlet reports he is seeking unspecified damages from the city for the alleged malpractice.

Whitney was found submerged in the bathtub of her hotel room on February 11, 2012. The Coroner's Office ruled the cause of death accidental drowning combined with the effects of 'atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use". She was 48.

She is survived by her only daughter, Bobbi Kristina, whose father is R&B singer Bobby Brown.

Bobbi Kristina married family friend Nick Gordon, 24, who was raised as Whitney's adopted son, in January.

And the young woman recently spoke about how she needed him to deal with the grief of her mother's passing.

"He's saved my life through such an extremely difficult time. I was very, very low at some points. He's been everything for me and that means a lot to me," she explained to British newspaper The Sun.

"If my mother could see me now she would just be so incredibly happy. I can just see her - she'd be running around fussing about the wedding."
