Liam Gallagher has called for a boycott of the upcoming Oasis ‘Definitely Maybe’ reissue, urging fans not to buy the special edition remastered album.

“How can you remaster something that’s already being mastered,” he tweeted on the weekend. “Don’t buy it. Let it be’.

Last week a special 3 disc edition of the first Oasis album was announced to mark the 20th anniversary of its release. Two further albums ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ and ‘Be Here Now’ will also be remastered, repackaged and reissued later this year.

In a more tongue-in-cheek post Gallagher also wrote, “The Oasis years they forget to mention Bonehead used to stick fig rolls up his arse Ha Ha’.

The ‘Definitely Maybe Chasing The Sun’ edition will be released on May 19.
