John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s wedding was delayed for hours due to bad weather.

The 35-year-old singer married the stunning supermodel last September and shared exclusive photos of the nuptials with Martha Stewart Weddings.

But Chrissy admits the ceremony, which took place in Italy’s Lake Como, didn’t go off without a snag.

Some of her jet-setting guests, including John’s family from Ohio and her bridesmaid, fellow model Brooklyn Decker, were delayed due to inclimate weather, People reports. Fortunately, they found a way to pass the time.

"They had cocktails for four hours!" Chrissy laughed.

Once the group finally made it, John and Chrissy, 28, were pronounced man and wife by the singer’s uncle.

They later danced to a performance by Stevie Wonder, who sang Ribbon in the Sky.

John also serenaded his bride with a rendition of All of Me.

The pair first met while filming the music video for the song back in 2006.

"The shoot was pretty up close and personal, and I got to know her big personality – she's very fun, very clever, very gregarious,” John told the magazine.

“It's not the normal way to court someone, but hey, it worked."

Rumours surfaced earlier this year Chrissy was expecting.

John, however, said that while they’re not opposed to having children in the near future the report was simply erroneous.

“Chrissy had a bad angle, looked like she had a bump, but it’s not a bump,” John told Extra in January, noting, “We’re practicing every day.”
