Justin Bieber’s security guard has reportedly been arrested in Atlanta, Georgia.
The pop star, who will turn 20 on Saturday, is said to be renting a home in the city, and went to a local amusement park Tuesday afternoon when a member of his team snatched a camera from a lurking photographer, according to TMZ.
A law enforcement source allegedly told the outlet Justin was waiting in a chauffeured Escalade when security exited the vehicle and got into an argument with the waiting paparazzo. The accused reportedly then grabbed the camera, handed it to the driver and told him to take off.
Police apparently found the vehicle at the home Justin is reportedly renting from music producer Dallas Austin.
The photographer is said to have followed the Escalade and spoke to the security guard, who returned the camera.
The guard, whose name has not been released, was reportedly put under arrest for theft. Police are deciding whether to arrest the driver of the Escalade, according to the outlet.
A spokesperson for Justin has yet to comment publicly.
News of the arrest is the latest in a string of legal woes linked to the singer, including three pending court cases.
Justin is facing charges of DUI, driving with an invalid license and resisting arrest in Miami, Florida after he was busted allegedly drag racing in the city last month.
CNN reports a hearing in the case is scheduled for next Tuesday in preparation for trial.
The singer is also facing an assault charge in Toronto, where he recently handed himself in following claims he struck a limousine driver on the back of the head multiple times en route to a nightclub.
The first court hearing in that case is scheduled for March 10.
The outlet also reports Justin still faces a possible vandalism charge amid accusations he threw eggs at his neighbour’s home in Calabasas, California last month, causing an estimated $20,000 in damage.
Prosecutors are expected to make a decision soon on filing possible charges.
The Federal Aviation Administration is also investigating allegations the singer and his father interfered with crew on a charter flight from Canada to New Jersey for last month’s Super Bowl. A report from US Customs and Border Protection told CNN the men ignored warnings to stop smoking marijuana onboard, while a law enforcement source told the outlet the pair were “extremely abusive verbally”.
