Kanye West wishes his late mother “could’ve met” his baby daughter.

The 36-year-old rapper welcomed his first child, North, with fiancée Kim Kardashian on June 15, 2013 - almost six years after his beloved mum Donda died in November 2007 from plastic surgery complications.

According to In Touch magazine, Kanye took a sombre moment at his concert in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday night to tell the crowd not having his mother around can be painful at times.

“These past ten years have been amazing,” he reflected.

“There’s been some ups and downs. I made some mistakes and I’ve made some accomplishments. There’s only one thing I regret. There’s only one thing I wish I could change out of everything that’s ever happened. I wish that my mother could’ve met my daughter.”

Although he struggles with the loss of his mother, Kanye is looking forward to marrying his love Kim.

The rapper is set to wed the reality star this summer after proposing in October of last year.

According to reports, Kanye is so enthusiastic about the nuptials he’s become a bit of a “groomzilla”.

“It’s just insane,” a purported friend told Britain’s Heat magazine recently.

“Kanye has basically billed it as… breaking the boundaries of what to expect when it comes to a wedding.

“This will be the event of the year. Think fashion runway, stage show performance. Think avant-garde. Think nothing like you’ve ever seen.

“Kanye’s saying ‘This is a concept event based on a wedding.’”

This will be Kanye’s first marriage, and the third for Kim, who was previously married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000-2003. She was also married to basketball player Kris Humphries briefly, but their union ended after 72 days in October 2011.
