Simon Cowell's dogs have reportedly been taking walks in "leather snow boots".
The music mogul proudly introduced his Yorkshire Terriers Squiddly and Diddly to fans last year. He even joked looking after the pups was good preparation for parenthood, with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman welcoming their first son Eric into the world on February 14.
Simon has been in New York City following Eric's birth and has apparently hired dog expert Edward Alava to help him with the hounds.
"Edward would come to Simon’s hotel, the St. Regis, to care for his two dogs and would walk them three times a day.
Because of the snowy weather, Edward brought cashmere sweaters for the dogs and leather snow boots," an insider told New York Post.
As well as looking after the pooches, Edward is thought to have been tasked with preparing them for Eric's arrival.
It seems his work has gone well, as images of Lauren, Simon, Eric and the puppies all together have been widely posted online.
"Edward advised Simon on how to familiarise the dogs to Eric, telling Simon to put one of Eric’s blankets in the pup’s basket so they could get used to the newborn’s smell," the source explained.
The music mogul's representative hasn't commented on the claims.
Simon is thought to have lavished money on his dogs in the past, with claims they were seeing a pet therapist in December. It was reported Squiddly and Diddly took regular trips to a pet spa, where they had pedicures and massages.
It's also been claimed that the X Factor creator has hired a pet nutritionist to feed the dogs a mixture of organic lamb, pumpkin, fish and sweet potato. Whenever the pets get tired, they can rest on their 22-carat gold-thread pet mattresses.
“Simon is a massive animal lover and these puppies have become his pride and joy. It was Lauren’s idea to get them so that he could practise before the baby arrives. They are spoilt rotten! They sleep in a special king-sized bed on the very best cotton, eat and drink out of find china bowls and follow a special organic diet,” an insider explained. “They drink bottled water and he treats them with a T-bone steak once a week.”
