Kylie Minogue is not quitting The Voice UK.

The Australian pop songstress joined the TV singing competition’s current season as a coach alongside will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones and Kaiser Chiefs frontman Ricky Wilson.

But last week it was reported Kylie was close to leaving because she found it too difficult to be negative towards the hopefuls.

However the 45-year-old has quashed these rumours.

“No, I wasn't going to quit at all. I'm in for the long run and overall, it's a really great experience,” the Into the Blue singer told MTV UK.

“Working on The Voice - because it's a new experience for me - I didn't know how you do it, what I'm going to say or how I'm going to feel. I wasn't sure if I would be any good or if I'd say the right thing."

Kylie has been in the music business for over 25 years and has always described herself as a workaholic.

But even she has been surprised at how full on it is to be part of the BBC programme.

“It's intense, it is seriously intense and I do a lot of things I could say that about like going on tour, which is full on, relentless,” she explained.

"There are really long days, so hats off to everyone, particularly Sir Tom Jones, who I think has got it right as he just cruises, he's the same pace as the tortoise who wins the race, me, I'm all over the place, I get too involved.”
