Kelly Clarkson has introduced a new member of her family to her fans.

But it isn’t the early arrival of her baby, it’s a puppy called Wyatt.

The Since You’ve Been Gone singer posted a photograph of herself with Wyatt on Twitter earlier today.
“Everyone ....this is our new little puppy Wyatt," the 31-year-old tweeted.

In the picture Kelly is cradling the small, brown fluffy dog in her arms.

And according to the American Idol winner, it’s how the puppy likes to be held.
“He loves to be held like a baby," she wrote alongside another photo of the pup, "which is great practice for me."

Kelly is currently around five months pregnant with her first child, a girl, with husband Brandon Blackstock.

The singer married talent manager Brandon in October last year and fell pregnant around the same time.
Brandon is Kelly’s manager’s son and the pair had known each other for six years before getting together.

The couple’s latest addition will help heal the pain of losing Kelly’s beloved dog Joplin in November last year.

Kelly adopted the miniature labradoodle from a rescue centre in 2011.

At the time she posted on Twitter, “He fought his whole life to survive & now he can rest. I loved him."
But it seems little Wyatt is quickly making his mark on the Stronger singer.
Alongside another picture of the two of them together, Kelly wrote, “He can't replace my Joplin that passed away but he's pretty great!”

While Kelly has revealed her new puppy’s name, fans will have to wait to find out what she calls her daughter.
“You won’t guess it. It’s a random name. But it’s not like … ‘Blue Jazz.’ It’s not going to be a weird name,” she revealed on The Ellen Degeneres Show recently.
