To coincide with the release of his first solo album, Everyday Robots, Damon Albarn will play two intimate shows in select venues in London in April.

Starting at the sumptuous Rivoli Ballroom, Albarn will then play the iconic art-deco venue People's Palace at The Great Hall, Queen Mary University of London with a band including guitarist Seye, drummer Pauli The PSM, bassist Jeff Wootton and Mike Smith on keyboards.

A number of European dates follow, culminating in the headline slot on Saturday night at Latitude Festival in July.

Albarn's new studio album, Everyday Robots, is his most autobiographical to date and is produced by XL's Richard Russell and recorded at West London's 13 Studio. The album features cameo appearances by Brian Eno and Natasha Khan (Bat For Lashes) and will be released by Parlophone on 28th April.

The London dates are:

30th April - The Rivoli Ballroom
1st May - The Great Hall, Queen Mary University of London

Tickets for the Rivoli Ballroom and The Great Hall, QMUL are £35 each (plus a £2.80 booking fee) and will be available from 9:00am GMT on Friday 14th February via http://www.gigsandtours.com/go/damonalbarn
