P. Diddy has proposed to his girlfriend via Instagram, according to reports.
There have been rumours circulating for a while that the producer and his girlfriend Cassie were engaged.
And over the weekend the music mogul posted a picture on the social networking site of a large diamond ring.
“Baby, do you like it? I just want to get you wat you Like! I just wanna Mk you smile :) #takeDat.![sic]” he wrote alongside it.
Diddy, real name Sean Combs, has been dating fellow musician Cassie since 2007.
The ring seemed to be to the 27-year-old’s liking as soon after she responded to his post.
“It's perfect!” she replied.
Whether the whole thing is a joke is yet to be seen, as the engagement has so far been unconfirmed by Diddy’s spokesperson.
Diddy has had long-term relationships in the past, as well as a high profile relationship with Jennifer Lopez in the late 1990s, but despite having five children, he has never been married.
During an interview on The View last year, the star revealed he had no plans to marry any time soon.
“It definitely would be a dream come true for me to just one day be ready for that [marriage]. I’m not really looking because I know the responsibility that comes with that, and I think that a lot of people, they jump into that and they’re not honest with themselves,” he said.
“I’m brutally honest with myself. I don’t want to get married and not make that woman be the best. I’ve been close to it, and when I’m ready, I’ll make the announcement, but when I do it, I’m doing it forever.”
