Selena Gomez was apparently set up with Austin Mahone by Taylor Swift.
Rumours surfaced last year that the 21-year-old Stars Dance singer was dating pop newcomer Austin.
Now new sources have told Us Weekly that 24-year-old Taylor played matchmaker and paired the couple up.
"They're seeing each other," a source told the magazine.
Apparently they "sneaked out" of the same concert separately on January 24 and a spy claims Selena got into the same car as the 17-year-old.
The star's last high-profile romance was her on/off relationship with 19-year-old troublemaker Justin Bieber.
She started dating the Baby singer in 2010 and they are thought to have called it quits around the start of 2013, although there were recurrent rumours of fleeting reconciliations.
Selena previously admitted it was a "bad breakup", but luckily she has close friends to rely on for support.
"I actually talked to Katy Perry about guys who are intimidated by strong girls," she previously said. "I haven't found someone yet who could understand my lifestyle, support it, love me through it, and not be threatened by it. It's hard. I do think I might scare some guys, because I'm like, 'I want to change the world! I have dreams! What do you want to do?' But I only know how to be me."
Her ex-boyfriend Justin was arrested in Miami last week on charges of DUI, resisting arrest without violence and driving on an expired license.
His arraignment is thought to be set for February 14.
