Demi Lovato says she owes her life to fans.

The 21-year-old pop star spent three months in rehab in 2010 due to physical and emotional issues and later admitted to suffering from bulimia and self-harming.

She also turned to alcohol and was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.

But Demi, having turned her life around, logged onto Twitter on Tuesday to thank those who’ve stood by her through the good and the bad.

“Happy Lovatic Day.... I'm alive because of you all. Thank you.... I love you all so much.. #3YearsUnbroken,” she wrote.

Demi often reaches out to fans via social media. She also encouraged any of her followers who may be struggling with their own demons to look at the brighter side. The star said she’s living proof things can change for the better.

“You CAN turn your life around. You can go through hell AND BACK. It IS possible. NEVER underestimate yourself. I BELIEVE IN YOU,” she tweeted.

Demi is currently gearing up for her Neon Lights Tour.
