Luke Jackson has unveiled a video of the title track of his stand out new album Fumes and Faith.

Hot on the heels of his debut album More Than Boys teenager Luke Jackson is about to release a raw, rootsy, stripped back follow-up showing just how skilfully he has honed his craft in a mere 18 months.

Fumes and Faith, which Luke has co-produced with Cardiff-based American record producer Mason Neely, is a belting roots and blues infused album of 11 original songs. Still only 19 his voice is richer, his fan base is bigger and he has delivered show stopping performances on the UK festival scene, from Cambridge to Shrewsbury and The Great British Folk Festival.

Canterbury-based Luke was a double nominee at the 2013 BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards (Young Folk Award and Horizon Award for Best Emerging Act). He says: “I suppose More Than Boys was my story of growing up but Fumes and Faith takes the story on and looks at friends and other people’s journeys as well as songs drawn from my own experiences. It’s also more bluesy than my first CD. I didn’t set out to write any of the songs in a bluesy, Americana style – but that’s how some of them emerged.”

With a wealth of finely-observed narrative songs,, Fumes and Faith emphasises the exceptional maturity and versatility of one of the most exciting young singer songwriters and live performers on the scene.

Fumes and Faith is released on Martyn Joseph’s Pipe Records label on February 10 with a special album launch gig at London’s Cecil Sharp House on Wednesday, February 12.
