Justin Bieber's mother and management team reportedly think he needs time in rehab to "give him some perspective".
Things have seemingly spiralled out of control for the 19-year-old singer over the last year. His issues came to a head last week when police raided his home looking for evidence he had been involved in an egg attack on his neighbour's home which caused $20,000 of damage.
His friend Lil Za was arrested after drugs were found in his room at the mansion, with subsequent reports there were other substances at the property. Law enforcement officials have denied those claims, but Justin's mom Pattie Mallette and his manager Scooter Braun are still said to be worried about him.
"Close associates of Justin's are now extremely concerned and think some time away in rehab is the only way to get him back on track," an insider told British newspaper The Sun.
"He is rebelling and things have really started to get out of control.
"Everyone just wants to get him in for a spell away from everything - that will give him some perspective."
At the end of last year Justin claimed he was retiring from music as he was tired of living his life in the spotlight, but Scooter insisted he was merely taking some time out from the studio to relax.
The singer has also been accused of drinking sizzurp, a cocktail which mixes soft drinks with codeine.
The rehab claims come a day after RadarOnline published a text message exchange which it claimed was between Justin and his on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez. The site alleged Selena had told Justin to get professional help for his problems, while he cursed at her and sent her X-rated images.
While Justin hasn't commented on the allegations, Selena's spokesperson told MailOnline the messages are "not real".
The Canadian singer doesn't appear to be letting the controversy surrounding his private life get him down. He is currently enjoying a skiing holiday with friends and has been posting images of himself on the slops on Twitter and Instagram.
