Kanye doesn't like changing diapers.
Kanye West is not "a diaper kind of guy" but will change one "in an emergency".
The hip-hop star has seven-month-old daughter North with his fiancée Kim Kardashian. She has discussed how parenthood has changed them with talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, also showing some previously unseen pictures of the tot. In one she is seen grinning at the camera as she clings to Kanye's back.
"He's not a diaper kind of guy and that's OK," she explained. "No he's not a diaper-changing kind of guy. He would if it's an emergency. But I love that time. I know it sounds crazy, but I love my time with her when she's on the changing table. She tries to talk so much and I really enjoy that bonding time when I'm with her."
As the rapper is so busy with his music and fashion ventures he sometimes has to spend time away from his family. He and Kim make sure he is in touch with North as much as possible, but Kanye still finds it hard to be separated.
"'He is honestly the most amazing dad," she gushed. "He loves her so much. He just left to go out of town, so I send him a picture and video every day. He's like, 'She grew up so much!' and I'm like, 'Babe, it's been one day. You haven't seen her in a day. Not a lot has changed.' But he really is a hands-on dad."
North is a "calm and really quiet baby" and Kim admitted she would love a lot more children. Being a mother has changed everything for her, although her pregnancy was notoriously hard. She delivered North early because of health concerns and didn't expect to find the period so tough.
"[I] always wanted about six. After having her I would have a million," she gushed.
"The pregnancy, I wouldn't really wish that upon anyone. Anyone. It's all worth it in the end, so I would definitely suffer through that, but pregnancy was not a good experience for me. At all."
Ellen then commented that some people say being with child is a beautiful thing.
"They are lying. They are LYING to you. I'm telling you," Kim interrupted. "Kourtney [Kim's sister] said that, my mom said that. I was literally giving birth and I looked at my mom and I said, 'I'm going to get you a medal. You deserve everything.'
"My labour was easy, but just the whole pregnancy was so... I had a few medical issues, so it was really tough, and I gained a lot of weight.
"I was actually really calm; my hormones weren't really going crazy. Well I don't think - you might want to ask Kanye or someone."
Kanye proposed to Kim on her 33rd birthday in October. It was a lavish affair, with the rapper hiring out a baseball field and getting down on one knee with a huge sign asking Kim to marry him. All her family and friends were hidden in the dug outs and the reality star maintains she had no idea what was happening. It wasn't until Kanye dropped to his knee that she realised what he had in store.
Ellen then tried to pry the couple's wedding date from Kim, but she kept her lips sealed. She would only say the ceremony will take place this year.
"Um, somewhere out of the country," she added. "We honestly haven¹t picked a date yet. We said when we were on our trip skiing this New Year¹s that we were going to pick the date and location, and that hasn't happened. We know we want it in the summertime, but we just, we've got to figure that out."
The talk show host then presented Kim with a white bikini complete with a train, which she joked the curvy star could get married in. There was also a mini version for North, prompting Kim to relay a story about her and Kanye's differing fashion tastes for their daughter.
"[Kanye] is a little uncomfortable with North wearing a bikini. I tried it once and it did not go over well. It has to be a one-piece," she explained.
