Chris Brown has reportedly “rejected a plea deal” in his Washington D.C. court case.
The 24-year-old is facing a felony assault charge after allegedly punching a man in the city in October, which was then reduced to a misdemeanour.
According to TMZ, the musician has turned down a plea deal which would reduce the charge yet again to just assault.
“Law enforcement sources tell us ... they had combed the area looking for surveillance video capturing the run-in. For a long, long time they said they had nothing. Now they seem to be singing a different tune, but haven't turned the video over to Geragos,” TMZ explained.
“Geragos -- who believes his client did nothing wrong -- is eager to see the video before cutting any kind of deal.”
Chris has spoken out before about how he believes the law is not dealing with him in a just manner.
According to the singer, he is being made an unfair example of.
"Community service, that sh*t is a b***h. I'll be honest – and you can quote me on that – that is a motherf**ker there,” he told UK newspaper The Guardian in October 2013. “For me, I think it's more of a power trip for the DA… They want me to be the example. Young black kids don't have the fairer chances. You can see Lindsay Lohan in and out of court every day, you see Charlie Sheen, whoever else, do what they want to do,” he added.
