Ellie Goulding celebrated her 27th birthday with a ‘sick’ private tour of the Tower of London.
The Burn singer started the day by thanking her 2,293,865 Twitter followers for their birthday wishes.
She followed the message with regular updates on how she was celebrating the occasion.
“Just had a sick private tour of Tower of London. Geeked out. My friends know me well!”she typed at 9pm.
The post was accompanied by a picture of a Beefeater leading the way with Tower Bridge lit up in the background.
Earlier in the day Ellie posted another photograph of herself getting a kiss on each cheek off two female friends.
Ellie was clearly enjoying her day with her pals, which also included a spot of afternoon tea together.
“JK I went boxing and had some tea and scones,” she wrote alongside another picture of a table covered with champagne glasses and sweet treats.
Ellie certainly didn’t seem to mind the absence of a special man in her life.
The Anything Could Happen singer recently admitted she was an ‘idiot’ in a past relationship and that she now strives to be true to herself.
“You should never change for anyone. And I say that because I've done it before; I've changed for a man. I was with a guy and there were things that he didn't like about what I wore or the way my hair was," she recalled to the January edition of UK magazine Cosmopolitan.
"I was so, so in love with him that I'd have done anything. I look back now and think, 'What an idiot!' You only realise when you're out of it how someone can have a hold over you.”
