Beyoncé Knowles and Jay Z supposedly splurged on “top-of-the-line” sex toys.
The couple have been married for five years and share 23-month-old daughter Blue Ivy.
And according to Radar Online, the pair’s love life is hotter than ever, as they were spotted spending around $6,000 at adult toy shop Babeland in New York City on Boxing Day.
“They didn’t buy anything tacky or too extreme,” a store insider told the outlet of their Thursday afternoon shopping trip.
“It was all top-of-the-line stuff. Some of it was even gold-plated!”
Beyoncé, 32, and Jay Z, 44, have had a very busy holiday season.
The rapper announced they were embarking upon a 22-day vegan challenge beginning December 3, one day before his birthday. And now their fans are waiting on an official update as to whether they will maintain the diet, which is completely free of animal products.
Beyoncé has dominated headlines this month after releasing a surprise full-length album which immediately topped the iTunes chart. The eponymous offering boasts 14 songs along with 17 music videos.
To accompany it, the star shot a YouTube video series called Self-Titled and in the second instalment, Part 2. Imperfection, she speaks of everything she has sacrificed for her career.
"I have a lot of awards and I have a lot of these things that are amazing and I worked my a** off. I worked harder than probably anyone I know to get those things. But nothing feels like my child saying, 'Mommy!' Nothing feels like when I look my husband in the eyes," she said.
"Nothing feels like I'm respected, when I get on the stage and see I'm changing people's lives. Those are the things that matter, and at this point in my life, that's what I'm striving for. Growth. Love. Happiness. Fun. Enjoy your life, it's short. That's the message."
