Miley Cyrus thinks “everything becomes irrelevant”.

The 21-year-old Wrecking Ball singer made history with her controversial twerk-dancing performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

But the star doesn’t think the furore over the show will last much longer.

“Last night, I was talking about some Madonna performances, and I said, ‘At some point, everything becomes irrelevant’,” she mused to the New York Times.

“Like, no one even thinks about when she did Like a Virgin at the VMAs. That just becomes a standard, where it’s just like, ‘Oh, that’s her thing.’ So, I feel like now that I did the VMAs, that just kind of became a standard for me, and then anytime I do anything else, they’re like, ‘Miley kept it tame tonight.’”

Earlier this month Joe Jonas claimed he was convinced to try marijuana by Miley and his former girlfriend Demi Lovato when they were teenagers.

And Miley reveals exactly how she feels about what he wrote about her in his article for Vulture.

“If you want to smoke weed, you’re going to smoke weed,” she said.

“There’s nothing that two little girls are going to get you to do that you don’t want to do. I thought maybe he was saying that like it was going to make him look bada*s.”
