Austin Mahone is celebrating Christmas with a family barbecue.
The 17-year-old singer was raised by his mother in San Antonio, Texas, after his father died when he was just a year and a half old.
Although he has been busy performing at various concerts alongside A-list musicians Austin can't wait to jet back home for the festive period to spend time with his relatives.
"Yeah I'm definitely going back to Texas [for Christmas] and to hang out with my family and I'm going to eat a bunch of BBQ [food] and hang out," he told examiner.com
"Sometimes [I make New Year's resolutions]. I would say my New Years' resolution for this year would probably have to be to finally release my new album and I want it to be really good, so I'm excited."
Austin has worked with a host of big names in the music industry for his upcoming debut record. He can't wait for fans to hear his new sound after putting so much time and effort into it.
"From this album you can expect a lot of different sounds because I've worked with so many amazing different producers like Max Martin, RedOne, Sean Garrett and they all kind of have a different feel, so it's going to be a mixture and I think it's going to be really cool," he explained.
"I did it [second single Banga! Banga!] with Sean Garrett, kind of like an urban type of song. It's different and it's a lot of fun. [The album will be out] probably around the spring time. I'm just trying to get everything perfect because I have so many amazing songs I want to choose wisely to put on my first album."
Despite putting a lot of focus into his music the heartthrob singer insisted he is open to pursuing his love life if the right girl was to come along.
"Romance? I always have time for girls," he grinned.
