Rounding off what has been a fantastically successful year, Ella Eyre has revealed her debut UK Headline tour for March 2014.

This tour will follow on from the release of her ‘Deeper’ EP, as well as the exciting announcement of Ella’s inclusion in the much coveted BBC Sound of 2014 longlist. Debated and decided by the finest selection of music industry minds and journalists, Ella’s place on the BBC Sound of 2014 longlist is big statement of intent from a young artist that is set to take the next year by storm.

“I’ve always wanted to hit people in the face with my music, rather than tickle them,” Ella Eyre says. Fierce and fearless, at just 19, with a No.1 feature on Rudimental’s ‘Waiting All Night’ to her name and currently featured on the new Naughty Boy single ‘Think About it’, it’s obvious that Ella Eyre waits for nothing. Her new breed of soul is here, with an ear for the past and a foot in the future, led by a voice exploding with power and passion, brawling and bawling, Ella’s songs speak to us while we dance.

‘Waiting All Night’ properly introduced Ella Eyre, of course, leading the garage revival that established that hers was a voice to be aware of, a proper all-conquering massive vocal with a tone rich, yearning and sexy, confiding and confident – the voice that was here to hit you in the face.

“I’ve always been into punchy, loud songs – passionate, with a message. And I’ve always been really lyrical – I love the idea that someone has felt the same as me. I love honesty, brutality and rawness.”

Her debut EP is led by Deeper, a collaboration with hot as hell producer Two Inch Punch, an incredible marriage of northern soul and dance music where she comes out like a one woman Fascinations kicking out on 21st Century dancefloors. It’s a touch more laid back than what’s to come, where she channels the good-feeling vibe of her heroine Lauryn Hill. It’s got stomp and it’s got swing, her performance holding back and hinting at all she’s capable of. “If I was to describe my music as a colour, it would be red – it’s loud, energetic, brutal, brutally honest at some points, and vulnerable, too.”
