Frances Bean Cobain wants a "mummified cat" for Christmas.

The 21-year-old daughter of Courtney Love and late Nirvana rocker Kurt Cobain isn't feeling traditionally festive this holiday season.

She took to Twitter, sharing with fans the odd item at the top of her list.

"All I want for Christmas is a mummified cat ... @gothgirlproblem," she wrote.

Frances' relationship with her famous mother has been chronicled in the tabloids for years.

In December 2009, Frances was put into her grandmother and aunt's care and awarded a temporary restraining order against her mother following allegations of "domestic violence".

In May, Courtney said things were getting better between the pair, although they hadn't seen each other in three years.

"I'm really good with my daughter now - we're e-mailing and tweeting," Courtney told Howard Stern on his radio show.

The 49-year-old also termed the 2009 order "extreme" and suggested it was the team of legal representatives around Frances who encouraged her to go through with it.

Frances is engaged to musician Isaiah Silva, who Courtney had spoken to online but hadn't met at the time.

"I don't want to get too into [Frances'] private stuff . she's really private," Courtney insisted.

It's unclear if mother and daughter will reunite this year for the holidays.
