Ed Sheeran is taking credit for Courteney Cox’s new romance.
The 49-year-old Cougar Town actress visited her former Friends co-star Jennifer Aniston’s holiday party last Sunday with Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid.
Ed confirms they are dating, and claims to have initiated their love affair.
“I wasn't allowed to talk about this, actually, but it's just gone public. My housemate, who I’ve lived with for a year, I introduced him to Courteney Cox,” Ed told OMG.
“They started dating and are crazy about each other and I ended up spending a lot of time living in her beach house and therefore bumping into all these random people. We spent Thanksgiving eve at Jennifer [Aniston]'s and Thanksgiving day at Courteney's.”
Ed can’t believe he is hanging out with stars like Jennifer and Courteney.
The 22-year-old Grammy-nominated British musician often has to remind himself he is really connected to these celebrities.
“Jennifer’… what the f**k!?” he exclaimed, amazed by his connection.
Ed also admitted despite communing with A-list celebrities, he wasn’t on his best behaviour at Jennifer’s Thanksgiving party.
“I drunk a bit too much and needed a time out,” he explained.
“So I walked down and lay on one of the beds outside the pool and passed out there.
“Courteney’s was a bit more tame.”
Courteney shares nine-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette.
The couple split in 2010 after 11 years of marriage but have remained good friends.
