Simon Cowell and girlfriend Lauren Silverman had an intimate baby shower on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The couple held the event at Simon’s Beverly Hills home, with guests including Simon’s ex’s Mezhgan Hussainy and Terri Seymour.
According to People magazine, guests were greeted by a Christmas tree and drinks served by a handsome man.
The website goes on to reveal the couple are planning to visit the Caribbean for Christmas, and there’s a strong chance the music mogul will propose to the mother of his first child.
"Simon doesn't want Lauren to give birth to his son as a single mom," a source said. "He is ready to commit."
Simon has spoken about his impending fatherhood, saying he prefers older children to babies.
According to the 54-year-old, he can’t wait to take his son on days out to theme parks.
"I'm not brilliant with babies," Simon told Parade magazine. "I never know what to do. But [once he's older] I think I'll be a good dad in terms of advice. And then I'll get to do all the things I want to do, like go to Disneyland or Universal Studios, teach him how to drive—I love all that."
Simon will apparently enjoy the kid’s activities as much as his child will. According to X Factor star, he never really grew up himself.
"I love animals and cartoons," he admitted. "I pretty much like everything I liked as a kid—the same foods and TV programs. I still watch Scooby-Doo. I never grew up."
