Harry Styles has his heart set on a new star - actor Paul Rudd.

The One Direction heartthrob tweeted his admiration for Anchorman actor Paul following an appearance with him on Saturday Night Live yesterday.

Paul was guest hosting the comedy show when he was joined by the British boy band, after telling the audience he was glad not to be overshadowed by a huge musical guest.

"A massive thank you to @nbcsnl for having us back last night. It was a lot of fun. And now I fancy Paul Rudd," Harry tweeted to his 18million followers.

Last night's comedy sketch also involved the rest of the Anchorman 2 cast. Determined not to be out shone by the global superstars, Paul brought on his "man band", consisting of Will Ferrell, Steve Carell and David Koechner.

"We're not here to fight," Paul told the boys. But Will Ferrell assured them that he was.

"Why don't you guys sit on Santa's lap and ask for a pair of balls," Steve interjected.

The two bands then joined forces to sing a version of Afternoon Delight, the 1976 easy listening classic featured in the first Ron Burgundy movie.

While in America, 19-year-old Harry also managed to fit in time to see his close friend Kendall Jenner.

The pair were spotted leaving a New York hotel together on Saturday, fuelling rumours that they're romantically involved with each other.
