Katy Perry had lots of fun shooting the cover art for her duet with boyfriend John Mayer.

The 29-year-old singer has been dating fellow musician John on and off since August 2012, but the relationship has strengthened in recent months culminating in their new duet Who You Love.

The singers have just released the cover art to accompany the song and Katy admitted they both had fun in front of the camera.

“It was so fun. It was just hanging out with my boyfriend, but who happens to be an incredible artist and incredible songwriter,” Katy gushed to Access Hollywood.

Before dating John, the Roar singer was married to British comedian Russell Brand for 14 months until they divorced in February 2012.

Katy explained that the duet with John really struck a chord with how she feels about her love life at the moment.

“Who You Love is a beautiful song that I was so honoured to be a part of and it’s just a song about loving who you love and not resisting that love, especially if it’s like hitting you, over and over again,” she explained.

“If you’re going to sleep and it’s finding you in your dreams, you gotta listen to that intuition. You gotta listen to your heart, you can’t fight it.”

On top of her music commitments Katy was recently named as the next Goodwill Ambassador for UNICEF.

Katy reflected on how a recent UNICEF trip to Madagascar changed her life and prepared her for the new role.
“[It] popped the bubble that I live in… and prioritised my way of thinking and installed a lot of gratitude inside of me,” she said. “It showed me the incredible work in real time that UNICEF does.

“I have a responsibility now. I have a responsibility to take care of the innocent children out there in the world and to take the light, all that humongous light that I have and shine some of that attention to where it’s needed,” she added.
