American singer songwriter Willie Nile has teamed with Stitch Jeans to create a limited edition all black denim jean to raise money for Parkinson’s research.
120 pairs of the exclusive pants will be produced with 100% of sales going to the Light of Day Foundation.
New Jersey’s Light of Day Foundation funds research into the possible cures and improved treatments and support for Parkinson’s sufferers.
Nile has collaborated on the design of the jeans with Stitch to recreate the rock and roll attitude. Lyrics from Nile’s ‘American Ride’ song have been stitched onto the inside of the front pocket. Each jean is also numbered as one of the 120 produced.
“I want to give people who can’t come to the shows an opportunity to support a great cause and get involved,” says Nile in a statement. “To be able to offer fans a unique, stylized pair of pants I designed with Stitch’s and have all the purchase money, not just the net proceeds, go to the cause is extraordinary. This will be my 15th year performing at Light of Day since its inception in 2000, so having my fans be able to help make a difference in this new way is exciting.”
Willie Nile will perform for one of the Light of Day events in Asbury Park, New Jersey in January.
