Lady Gaga's "little monsters" flooded social media ahead of her appearance on Saturday Night Live.

The pop star is hosting the US comedy sketch show for the first time this week and her fans, who she's dubbed with the moniker, inundated Twitter after she promoted the spot, determined to make #gagasnl trend.
"@ladygaga #SNL don't miss it tonight let make this trend all day baby #SexxxDreams #GUY #Venus. #GagaSNL," one dedicated fan wrote.

"GAGASNL C'MON GUYS! SHARE GAGA'S SNL PROMO!" another added, while one user wrote: "Gotta represent for my other mother from another dimension.... @ladygaga #GAGAsnl."

Others expressed their admiration.

"@ladygaga Hosting SNL is the dream of all of us NYC based female comics/actresses. Live it for us and kill it! I know you will :) #gagasnl," one user wrote. Another added: "#ARTPOP #StopTheDramaStartTheMusic #GagaSNL #mtvstars @ladygaga IS THE MOST INFLUENTIAL, BIGGEST WOMAN ON THIS PLANET! I'M SO PROUD OF HER!"

In addition to hosting, Gaga is pulling double duty as musical guest, performing tracks from her newly released album, ARTPOP.

Earlier this week the star admitted she's waited years for the opportunity.

"I've been waiting for this moment my whole life. I've been rehearsing my SNL hosting performance since I was 4, so I'm okay," she told Access Hollywood.

She also told the writers on the show she's open to making fun of herself.

"I actually told them to push it," she said. "I told them to have a good time and not be worried about me being offended or not liking anything. So they really went for it."
