Ringo Starr may be in the mood to settle down in one place rather than spending his "retirement" years on the road.
Ringo, 73, had a press conference on Tuesday in Hollywood to announce a Latin America tour with his All-Starr Band and said that a Las Vegas residency may be in his future. When asked about the possibility, he replied "You mean like 'The Golden Drums?' Like - what is it - 'The Red Piano? [Elton John's Las Vegas show] It's been talked about, but nothing's been finalized. We have a couple years before that happens, I believe. So what is the answer? Not yet."
Meanwhile, Roger Friedman at Showbiz411 is reporting that there will be a special tribute to the Beatles on this year's Grammy Awards telecast, set for January 26 celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four's arrival in the U.S. on February 7, 1964.
The next night, there will also be a big Beatles tribute at the Los Angeles Convention Center with a bevy of stars performing the band's music. The artists for the show are yet to be announced and, per Ringo, neither he nor Paul have decided if they will play or watch.
