International DJ & producer Calvin Harris recently announced a new single, 'Under Control', a collaboration with Alesso featuring Hurts that is set for release via Columbia Records on November 25th 2013. Today the trio have debuted an apocalyptic video for the track, which sees them face the end of the world with a party to end all parties.
This track, packed with the same vibrancy and infectious beats he delivers in all of his songs, will be Calvin's first release after chartbusting album 18 Months which chalked-up nine back-to-back Top 10 singles. That album, released late last year has so far amassed well over 1.2 million album sales worldwide whilst his UK singles sales tally exceeds the 4.5 million mark. 'Under Control' follows on from a growing list of top musical partnerships, sitting alongside album smash hits featuring Rihanna, Florence Welch and Ellie Goulding.
Sweden's hottest new export, producer and DJ, Alesso, is a hugely exciting collaborator on 'Under Control'. His debut single 'Nillionaire' launched only 2 years ago and was followed by a slew of Beatport hits, chart successes with One Republic and ending 2012 being voted the Hottest Record of the Year by Zane Lowe for his collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso.
Theo from Hurts features on the collaboration between the two dance heavyweights, adding a unique twist to the record. Hurts have enjoyed huge global success this year with the release of their second album Exile. After a sold out European tour and a summer of festivals, the band will embark on their biggest tour to date, The Exile Tour, this autumn playing across arena's in eighteen countries
Alesso takes his new 'Uprising' Tour on the road across North America, to Australia with Stereosonic Festival, and ends 2013 with sell-out shows at London's Brixton Academy & Glasgow's O2 Academy.
Calvin Harris will also be playing a handful of arena shows in December, kicking-off in Belfast at the Odyssey Arena on the 18th and wrapping-up just four days later in Glasgow on the 22nd. In between those dates he'll play London's Earls Court on the 20th.
