Gabrielle's forthcoming album "Now & Always: 20 Years of Dreaming", released on November 25th on Island Records, is to include a brand new re-working of her first ever single, 'Dreams'. The new version was recorded with Naughty Boy.
Gabrielle completely re-vocaled the song, with Naughty Boy arranging and producing. The pair first teamed up for the song 'Hollywood' from Naughty Boy's recently released album. That collaboration was so enjoyable and productive that they decided to team up once more for the 'Dreams' re-work. Naughty Boy recently said "No one in the world sounds like Gabrielle. She doesn't have a big voice, but it's so distinctive. No other singer has ever sounded like her and no one ever will".
The original version of 'Dreams' was released in 1993. Recorded in Neneh Cherry's house in London, it became Gabrielle's first #1 single, and even twenty years on it's still a big seller, with over 12,000 sales racked up in the first half of 2013 alone.
The album's lead single, 'Say Goodbye', will be coming soon.
