LeAnn Rimes is glad she has a 'little more meat on her' nowadays.

The 31-year-old singer has undergone some drastic changes since she released her first record in 1996. She has been criticised for being too slim in the past, such as when she was pictured looking frail in a bikini while holidaying in 2011.

"I look back at those photos and think, 'Wow, maybe I was a little thin,' but, at the time, I didn't think anything of it," she admitted to British magazine Closer. "I'm glad to have a little more meat on me now."

The star still exercises regularly but prides herself on her healthy attitude towards food. There are some meals which are high in calories, but she just can't say no to.

"I love tucking into fish and chips, shepherd's pie and Wagamama's. I try to eat healthily, but I love food too much to give up on anything," she explained. "Working out helps me focus and I love to box."

LeAnn checked into rehab last year for "anxiety and stress". She dipped down to a UK clothes size 4 at one point, which she believes was due to her personal problems. She is married to Eddie Cibrian but has a famously tumultuous relationship with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

"That was just the way my body was handling the stress," she explained. "Some people stress-eat and I did the complete opposite. So I chose to take time out and focus on me."

LeAnn and Eddie got together while he was still married to Brandi and she was wed to Dean Sheremet.

Marrying Eddie meant she became step-mom to his two sons with Brandi, a role she loves.

'I feel very blessed to have two wonderful boys,' she explained. 'We have talked about having more kids, but right now I love being a 'bonus mum,' so there isn't any rush.'
