Kanye West is being sued for allegedly assaulting a paparazzo.
The 36-year-old star was involved in a scuffle with a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport on July 19.
It's claimed the rapper punched and wrestled the man to the ground after he was bombarded with questions.
Following the incident the Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that the photographer had been treated for unknown injuries at a local hospital.
A criminal investigation is ongoing, according to TMZ, and the Los Angeles City Attorney is deciding whether or not to prosecute Kanye on charges of vandalism and battery.
But meanwhile the photographer is pressing forward with his own lawsuit.
Celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is representing the alleged victim and will hold a press conference Wednesday afternoon to announce her client's intention to sue the star.
Kanye has a history of clashing with photographers and exploded on a paparazzo in early July, forbidding the man to ever speak to him.
He has yet to comment on reports of the civil suit.
He is currently promoting his sixth studio album, Yeezus, which has garnered headlines for controversial singles such as Black Skinhead, New Slaves and I Am a God (featuring God).
He has also been subject to intense scrutiny since becoming a father for the first time.
His girlfriend Kim Kardashian gave birth to their daughter North West, nicknamed Nori, last month.
Kim is said to be concerned about the media frenzy surrounding their newborn.
'Right now, she is worried about the safety of Nori because paps are throwing stuff over the walls, yelling awful things at her,' a source told Radar Online. 'She feels threatened and scared right now that if they don't just let everyone see the kid, you all are gonna go cray cray on her when she does finally emerge.'
The couple are reportedly desperate to put interest in their little girl to rest and plan to debut a picture of North on Kris Jenner's US daytime talk show Friday, passing up a $4 million deal to sell the first images to a tabloid.
