Miguel has reportedly been arrested for drunk driving.

The celebrity music producer, best-known for his work with Mariah Carey, allegedly exceeded the alcohol consumption limit before getting behind the wheel in Los Angeles early Thursday morning.

According to the TMZ website, the 27-year-old got the attention of California Highway Patrol officers because he was speeding in his 2013 BMW X6 at 2:15 a.m.

His vehicle was pulled over before law enforcement allegedly noticed he may have been drunk.

The star apparently then failed a series of sobriety tests. The site reports Miguel blew a .10 and .11, which exceeds the .08 blood alcohol legal limit in the state of California.

The producer, real name Miguel Jontel Pimentel, was released from a local police station hours later on $5,000 bail.

A court hearing is scheduled for September.

Representatives of the star, who worked with Mariah on her new single #Beautiful, have yet to comment.

Miguel has in the past admitted to having a "huge crush" on Mariah since seeing her emerge from a pool in her Honey promo.

Since working with the singer earlier this year he has landed himself in other legal trouble.

An audience member at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards was considering whether to sue him after he accidentally leaped onto her head.

He inadvertently struck the woman named Shah with his right thigh and it allegedly cracked her skull against the stage in Las Vegas.

The woman’s attorney, Vip Bhola, told E! News his client has been having “difficulties” determining whether to take further action pending further medical tests.
