Harry Wayne Casey (aka KC from KC and the Sunshine Band) has written a bradn new song for Village People.

KC co-wrote 'Lets Go Back To The Dance Floor' KC & The Sunshine Band keyboard player Chris Cadenhead.

Last year KC performed a benefit concert with Village People in Maryland and had a tune in his head. 'If you like it, I'll write it for you,' he told Village People and the result is this song.

Village People started to perform the song live and recruited Alayna Simpson, daughter of singer Ray Simpson and niece of Valerie Simpson, to choreograph the moves.

Village People also recently announced a new member. Jim Newman is the new Cowboy. Felipe Rose, Alexander Briley and David Hodo began in 1977 when the group was created by French music producers/songwriters Jacques Morali and Henri Belolo. Ray Simpson joined the group as lead singer/Cop in 1979 in time to co-star in their movie 'Can't Stop the Music'. Eric Anzalone has been with the group for 17 years replacing original Biker Glenn Hughes who passed away from lung cancer. Jeff Olson, who had the longest run as the group's Cowboy (since 1980) has recently given up his boots and spurs.

Village People will perform one show only in Australia in October at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney on October 12. They will be in Australia to perform on the Royal Caribbean Cruise leaving Sydney on October 4 and returning on October 11. The Pacific cruise with the Village People will visit Noumea and New Caledonia.
