Bono thinks Mick Jagger “still has a very beautiful face”.

Rolling Stones legend Mick will turn 70 on July 26 and Bono believes the rocker has never looked better.

The U2 frontman is in awe of how well Mick has aged, equating the graceful beauty of his colleague to a highly regarded Russian ballet star.

“Mick looks a bit like [Mikhail] Baryshnikov, like a ballet dancer from a different age,” Bono told British newspaper The Mirror.

“At the same time he still has a very beautiful face.

“The wrinkles that run through it now have made it even more beautiful. Why? Because he wears those wrinkles well. I love his wrinkles.”

Mick has an estimated net worth of $305 million and Bono has surpassed his predecessor by amassing a $600 million fortune.

Still Bono acknowledges the Start Me Up singer for his pioneering business prowess.

“People despise Mick because they think he only thinks about money, but he is a businessman above all else,” the U2 star explained.

“The fact is, he understands the business. Why? Because the Stones lost a lot of money in the beginning. I have to kneel in reverence to what he has achieved.”

Bono is also taken by Mick’s gentle personality.

He believes the Rolling Stones icon is easy to be around.

“What I like about him as a person is that he always speaks his mind openly and he never talks much about himself,” Bono said. “He is not a narcissistic person.”

Last week Bono received France’s highest cultural honour. He was ordained a Commander of Arts and Letters in acknowledgment of his immense contribution to arts and charity.
