Sophie Debattista wows North London

Last night Sophie Debattista wowed a select crowd at the small but perfectly formed stage of The Finsbury in North London.

Her five-song set was delivered with a defiant confidence that belied her young age. With only an acoustic guitar for company she strummed her way through kicking off with an original composition 'Independent Miss'. Her Teenage Cancer Trust inspired song 'Make A Change' followed with a reworked 'Walking On Sunshine' next.

At still only 19 years of age her alluring vocal style brought to mind young Shania Twain with the story telling prowess of Lilly Allen.
