Morrissey has pulled the plug on his US tour with more than 20 shows still to play.
With hospitalizations for a bleeding ulcer, Barrett's esophagus and, now, double pneumonia, the announcement that Morrissey was cancelling the balance of his U.S. tour was no surprise.
The singer has had a number of medical problems in the last couple of years that has led to the cancelling or postponing of a handful of shows but, on this tour, he had already put off 21 shows and his health hasn't seemed like it was improving.
A statement issued by his management said 'Despite his best efforts to try to continue touring, Morrissey has to take a hiatus and will not be able to continue on the rest of the tour. Morrissey thanks all of his fans for their well wishes and thoughts.'
