TOY have announced details of the release of a new single. My Heart Skips A Beat will be released on Heavenly Recordings on Monday 11th March 2012.
The single, taken from their self-titled debut album, which was released on 10th September, was recorded during the spring of 2012 with Dan Carey in his South London studio as part of the album sessions.
Released on 12” and download, it includes brand new previously unreleased tracks She’s Over My head and Layered Electronics and a Lauren Laverne BBC6 Music session version of the album track Kopter.
Toy rounded off a hugely successful 2012 with an extensive U.K tour in November culminating in a sold-out show at London’s Heaven before appearing in a number of albums of the year polls including Mojo and the NME.
They started the year with a 4-week residency at the Shacklewell Arms in London in January and subsequently played a sold-out show at London’s XOYO in April and appeared at most of the U.K.’s leading festivals over the summer including Reading / Leeds, Latitude, Bestival, End Of The Road, Festival No.6 and Green Man.
They rounded off the year with a sold out show at London’s Heaven and as special headline guests at John Kennedy’s XFM Xposure Christmas show.
They have also recently announced a number of dates in the spring of 2013, including an NME Awards show and arena shows with The Vaccines.

The end of 2012 saw the band play a number of European headline shows, and the start of this year sees them head to Turkey and Holland before returning to the U.K. for the NME show.
