Miley Cyrus’ fiancé Liam Hemsworth has reportedly travelled to his native Australia to escape the wrath of his love.
The 20-year-old singer-and-actress and the 23-year-old actor got engaged in June of last year after meeting on the set of romantic movie The Last Song in 2009.
Speculation is rife the pair’s relationship has hit a rough patch.
It’s been reported that Liam passionately kissed Mad Men actress January Jones at an Academy Awards party last month.
Miley was also pictured walking around in public without her engagement ring earlier this week.
"Miley is still upset with Liam," a source told People magazine.
"She took the ring off to make him mad. It doesn't mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together.
"Liam did fly home [to Australia on March 1] so they could have a break.”
Apparently Liam would rather spend time with his brother Chris Hemsworth at home than his wife-to-be at the moment.
Miley is adamant all of these assertions are unfounded.
"I am so sick of LA. And sick of the lies that come with it. I didn't call off my wedding. Taking a break from social media,” she wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
