Parlophone in England is set to re-release Morrissey's 1991 album Kill Uncle and the single The Last of the Famous International Playboys tomorrow, but the single will not have the originally intended cover photo.

Morrissey had unearthed a photo of himself with David Bowie from 1992 that he intended to use for the single but was told he couldn't by EMI U.K. A statement published on Truetoyou.com said "David Bowie has ordered EMI UK not to run the proposed artwork for Morrissey's April 8th issue of the re-mastered The Last of the Famous International Playboys single and CD. Although Bowie has no legal rights to the photograph, most of his back catalogue is presently licensed to EMI."

In response, Morrissey is still using the photo for the single but he has replaced Bowie's face with that of Never Gonna Give You Up singer Rick Astley.
