Sophie DeBattista to play Royal Albert Hall

Ten months ago Anglo/Maltese singer-songwriter Sophie DeBattista left her home in Malta to undertake a large summer long UK tour and then decided to stay on.

During this period she has spent the best part of her time performing at festivals and events across Britain including highly significant occasions taking place in Trafalgar Square, London, the Pier Head Liverpool, Manchester City Centre and at the same time collaborating with BBC and commercial radio stations, both local and regional across England and Scotland.

"it was hard to leave sunny Malta, my family and friends" said 18 year old Sophie " but I have received such a warm welcome and made so many new friends I just felt it was right to try and pursue my music career here".

And it seems that her decision has been a good one with invitations to sing and play at such varied and prestigious venues as Claridges in Mayfair, the Troubadour, Bar Vinyl in Camden and even The Royal Albert Hall.

Sophie's calendar of appearances is filling fast with performances in Hull and Sheffield and even at Liverpool's fashion week.
